NIO House Amsterdam

A multi-level branded environment with hospitality, co-working, VIP floors, and gallery functions needing to read as one atmosphere rather than a stack of unrelated programs.

Brand experience without theme-park excess

Projects like this fail when the brand becomes too literal. The better question is how to create a strong hospitality atmosphere without making every spatial decision perform corporate messaging. The project needed coherence, but also maturity.

Multiple programs, one tone

Gallery, co-working, lounge, and private areas operate differently. The challenge was not simply fitting them together. It was creating a tonal consistency so users would feel continuity while moving vertically through the building.

The current public imagery privileges the overall presence of the project; this case-study shell adds narrative while a wider image sequence is assembled.

Social space as design brief

The project works best when read as a social condenser rather than simply a showroom. Seating, thresholds, and the relationship between openness and exclusivity were central to the spatial logic.

Outcome

The building becomes a brand environment by being inhabitable first and branded second.
